Green Power Technologies' PF Switch-Module is a Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM) Power Module. It is a smart, low cost, simple solution for active power factor correction based on GPT's innovative and patented control concept. With no sensing of input voltage it ensures stable operation reducing interference pick up caused by noisy input voltage and is the basis for the simple, straightforward design of the PFC preconvertor. By adding minimum external passive components, the PF Switch-Module provides a complete power factor stage for up to a 2kW power level. Its' robust control circuitry and smart construction enables location of these external passive components anywhere in the equipment housing. This unique product frees the designer from dealing with control loops, compensation networks and greatly simplifies the PCB design. The PF Switch-Module based system is able to start up under full load and maintains stable output voltage over a wide range of operating conditions. Integrated fast overvoltage protection, cycle-by-cycle and average overcurrent protection, and overtemperature protection, ensure high reliability even under rugged operating conditions. The PFSwitch-Module is an excellent solution for high power applications.
